
Section A. Time and Place of Meetings
Meetings shall be held regularly, on a quarterly basis or as needed by the associated organizations, at a time and place to be determined by the Advisory Committee. Reasonable notice of meetings shall be provided to the associated organizations’ representatives by the Advisory Committee.
Section B. Agenda
- Any associated organization of the KAN may propose agenda items for scheduled meetings. Such proposed items need to be delivered to the Advisory Committee three weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.
- An agenda shall be drawn up under the direction of the Advisory Committee, and shall be made available to the representatives of the associated organizations two weeks prior to the meeting.
Section C. Rules of Procedure
- Two-thirds of the eligible voting representatives of the associated organizations shall constitute a quorum for all meetings.
- The Chair of the KAN Advisory Committee conducts the meeting in a discussion/consensus manner. When voting is necessary, this shall be accomplished according to Robert’s Rules of Order. Unless otherwise specified, two-thirds of those present and eligible to vote shall be sufficient for a proposal or recommendation to pass.
- If an associated organization of the KAN is aware of an issue which may present a conflict of interest, the organization will abstain from any discussion and vote on that issue.
