  1. You won’t have to worry about the hazards of having more than one sexual partner:  sexually transmitted disease, unwanted pregnancy, or emotional heartbreak.
  1. You will have freedom from the risks and side effects associated with birth control.
  1. You won’t have to worry about being pressured into marriage at a young age, or before you have created a strong bond with your marriage partner.
  1. You won’t have to deal with the emotional distress of putting your baby up for adoption.
  1. You will have freedom from being taken advantage of by others and all the emotions that go along with it – guilt, doubt, worry, disappointment, anger, and rejections.
  1. You will be in charge of your own body.
  1. You will be able to learn about your dating partner as a person.
  1. You will have control over your life and your future, without having it disturbed by sexually transmitted diseases or unwanted pregnancy.
  1. You will be able to value yourself.
  1. You will have the freedom to be happy and excited about marriage without being worried about the effects of previous sexual experiences.
  1. You will be able to have fun just being a teenager with lots of valuable boy-girl  relationships and friendships.
  1. You will be able to develop a strong marriage commitment to one person for the rest of your life – meaning, abstinence before marriage leads to greater trust, commitment, and fidelity in marriage.
